Michael believes audiology is the perfect combination of his passion for technology and meeting new people. “Quite simply, it’s all about finding the right solution for their situation.”
Prior to becoming an Audiologist, Michael worked for many years as an Electronics Engineer both in Australia and overseas. However, he got frustrated sitting behind a computer all day and started looking for a new career that would leverage his experience with technology whilst working with people as well. Audiology was the perfect fit, and he completed his Master of Audiology at Flinders University in 2011.
He joined Can:Do Hearing in 2013 and has worked with both adult and paediatric clients since then. He loves working with hearing aids and explaining things to client at a technical or non-technical level depending on their preference.
Michael loves travelling, often to France where he and his wife and daughter have family. He sometimes feels when traveling in other countries that the difficulties to understand people are not unlike having a hearing loss!
